Blu was sprawled out across the cool grass, wriggling about to get that one itch that just wouldn't leave her be. Her three remaining paws batted playfully up at the air and with a wide yawn, she rolled onto her side to stretch animatedly. She liked watching the stars fade as the morning sun peaked out over the edge of the horizon and Vertex Point offered an amazing view. Ever since she'd lost her hind left leg, Blu felt... not quite useful. The oddly colored dame was grateful she'd become a medic, but it hindered her in so many ways. She wasn't as fast or agile, she couldn't move with the same tenacity or dexterity... the injury had nearly killed her and if it wasn't for Chronos and Davinci saving her... she was quite certain she wouldn't be enjoying the view she was today.
The scent of another wolf reached her nostrils and Blu rolled up onto her belly, head cocking a bit to the right as the male trotted into her line of vision. She tensed briefly at first, ears swinging forward and head tentatively lifting to better catch his scent but quickly... she recognized the faint scent of Castellum and instantly relaxed. They were both apart of the same pack which instantly soothed some of Blu's shyness and anxiety. She smiled lazily, tongue lolling from the side of her mouth. It was obvious she was missing one of her hind legs and the small stump left behind was quite grotesque, it wasn't really an injury she could hide and she was slowly learning to just embrace it.
She pushed herself up onto her remaining limbs and shook out her pelt animatedly before trotting forward to a more respectable distance. Her posture was relaxed, open and friendly, Blu hardly had a mean bone in her body and her eyes softly glistened as she lowered her skull submissively in a display of good faith. “Hello, my names Blu, you must be the new wolf Davinci talked about... Abasi right? Have you come to watch the sunrise? Vertex point has the most gorgeous view.” Soft and gentle, Blu smiled a bit. She couldn't imagine having to leave and find a new pack, how terrifying and hard that must be... and if this wolf had chosen Castellum, than the least the rest of them could do was be welcoming right?
