Hades had reached the Aura Hills during the middle of the night. He figured it was well past midnight by the time he arrived. And though he was dead on his feet he had to find cover for the night it had been raining all day and all night. Even though his mind was groggy he remembered this cave he had slept in last time he was here and began making his way towards it. He had named it the broken hill. It was pitch black out what with all the clouds covering the moon and the stars. It took him a while but he eventually found it just before sunrise. He crawled in and quickly fell into a deep dreamless sleep.
He slept until late morning, when he woke up he gave his pelt a shake and than looked himself over. His fur was a mess all knotted from travelling in the rain and than there where leaves and sticks stuck in it from sleeping in the cave. He would have to clean it out so the floor would be more comfortable. Hades headed out of the cave and was relieved to see that the rain had stopped some time while he had been asleep. He began grooming his fur pulling the twigs and leaves out and than working on the knots in his fur.
By the time he was finished the sun was high up in the sky and his stomach was growling something awful. Looking around he could see a rabbit nibbling on some grass several wolf lengths to his right. The rabbit's back was to him so it had no idea that he was here. Licking his lips Hades slowly began to creep on the rabbit. When it was only a couple wolfs lengths away he took off after it. The rabbit's ears flew up and it turned to look at him than took off. It was fast and it might have gotten away if it hadn't turned back to see how close it was. When it did it tripped over a rock, it scrambled to get back to it's feet but it was to late. Hades was on top of it, he grabbed it by the back of it's neck and shook it around to daze it before pinning it to the ground with one of his paws and getting a better grip and breaking it's neck killing it.
It wasn't a bad catch and since it was only him it would do. Picking it up he headed back to the Broken Hill. He planned on making that place his den. And the hills would be his territory someday when he found wolves to form a pack. Hades laid down outside the entrance and began ripping chunks of meat and fur off the rabbit. He ate everything and never let anything go to waste not even the bones. Next to the meat the bones where the best part in his opinion. Hades was almost done eating when he heard a howl in the distance. He sat up and pricked his ears. Should he reply? He wasn't sure if he should or not, but if he did maybe they could be a step towards making his own pack. Raising his head he let out a howl to let the other wolf know where he was.
