Physical Description:
A large beast of a wolf, Jude stands at a tall 40 inches from toe to shoulder. The majority of his bulk is muscle, though he comes from a long line of large "thick-boned" men. He is nearly a direct copy of his father, Lennon. His fur is thick and coarse. He is a solid dark brown that can only be seen in the direct light of day. He appears ebony otherwise. The only trait he did not inherit from his father are his eyes. Deep emerald green are the first feature that one would see at first glance of Jude. His eyes have always been the focal point of his appearance, especially when he was a pup and was told that they were all that was left of the memory of his mother.
Personality :
Could one simply describe the personality of one so complex as Jude? Though he looks like a monstrosity in size, he is a calm and gentle giant. The man has been level-headed since the day of his birth. He was brought up as the heir of his pack, alongside his two brothers, and had to learn to tolerate the goings-on of every day pack life. He is extremely slow to anger and will find any way possible to figure out a stressful situation before it may ever escalate.
Jude is very loving to those he cares about but tries to keep most at a respectful distance. Manners are most important to remain dignified and respected among his peers, as was the way he was raised. He only will allow himself to become truly vulnerable with his mate and the love of his life, Antiva. Only she knows how his mind truly functions on a day to day basis.
Battles are never to be taken lightly, and training is a must. A fit and prepared warrior will be able to protect himself, his family and his pack before one who avoids it all together. This is another reason why he will never let his temper flare; loss of temper could mean loss of precious life, and these things just can not be trifled with. Life is too short.
History:
Jude, Dzirta, and Yoko were all three born to the leader of their mountain pack on Continenti. Lennon and Lucy were proud parents of their three boys; Jude was strong and respectful; Dzirta quick and intelligent; and Yoko could hunt any prey that passed his senses. Lennon was a wolf of deep respect and authority and wished to take his heir on a specialized training mission. He took Jude and left his other two boys with their mother, who did not appreciate that her firstborn was getting special treatment over her other two.
When Lennon and Jude returned after over a season of training, Lucy and the two boys had vanished. Packmates were not certain of their whereabouts and Lennon was simply devastated. Jude was determined that he would find his family before their absence took its toll on his father. After his 1st birthday, he took off in the direction of the general smell of wolves.
It was nearly a season before Jude came upon any wolves at all, and when he did, it was not a friendly encounter. Three rogues were brutally attacking a young ebony female who seemed to be just as ferocious as they were. Seeing the problem in numbers and the obvious difference in all-around health, Jude knew that the only chance for the female to survive such an attack would be with the aid of another.
Without another thought the large brute launched himself into battle. The three rogues were fierce and wild in their attacks but foolish in their strategy and use of energy. it wasn't long before Jude and the unknown female had frightened the three wild beasts into submission and they all turned tail and ran. From that day on, Jude's life would change drastically.
Antiva, the ebony dame who had fought so viciously against the rogues, was a wild spirit that Jude saw no reason to break. She was as beautiful and miraculous as a thorned rose and just about as prickly. Antiva did not need to be tamed, no. She simply needed to be shown the love and respect that she deserved from a wolf who didn't have a hidden agenda.
Over time and with every bit of help from each other, Jude and Antiva fell deeply in love and realized that they could not live happily without the other. Their happiness was short lived, however, when a rival pack overtook them. The pack was shocked at the sudden attack and forced to flee in every direction to avoid being added to the ever growing list of casualties that included Lennon. Families were split and wolves were chased violently from the territory in every direction. Jude and Antiva were seperated and lost to each other.
6 months later, Jude continues to search for his lost lover. He has followed her scent and the scent of many others as they migrated off of the main continent and onto the island of Lagratia. He searches day by day, but to no avail. He can not find her scent anywhere on the island. Though he keeps healthy and strong to continue pursuing her, his mind crumbles more each moment that he is away from her.
