Character Name: Hades
Character Age: 4yrs {Fall Season}
Gender: Male
Description: Hades is a large wolf, he stands very tall taller than most wolves. He is also very long from nose to tail base. He is very muscular obviously built for fighting. He has large paws with sharp claws perfect for fighting. his legs are very long which tells you that his second trait would be speed. Hades is a very handsome wolf and at first look he looks like a kind wolf. He has a kind face but don't let that fool you. One look at his eyes and you can tell he is not kind. His brown eyes hold a darkness to them that can usually send shivers of fear through wolves weaker than him.
Personality: Hades is a complicated wolf, he can be cruel don't get me wrong. But he can also be very loyal and caring especially to those who have proven themselves to him and have earned his trust and loyalty. He can be down right nice and friendly from time to time. But it's very rare to see that side of him. You mostly tend to see his firm and strict side. He has a set of rules he follows, rules that he made himself. He is surprisingly respectful of female's. He treats them with the respect he believes they deserve. But even females can see his dark side from time to time if they don't behave the way they believe they should behave. When it comes to fighting he can be very cunning and will pull every trick he can think of to win the battle. He doesn't mind fighting dirty if he has to.
History: {Before He Was Born}
Cronos was a huge wolf, he was very strong and he didn't care who he had to go through to get what he wanted. He was very cruel. One day when he found this beautiful white wolf he wanted to claim her as his own. Though she already had a mate he wasn't going to let that stop him. He waited until dark when they where asleep. They where on their own they where either away from their pack or they where loners. Which to him made them an easy target. He slowly crept into their den and attacked the male wolf. He grabbed the wolf by his throat and before he knew what him him his sharp fangs sank deep into his flesh and he gave a jerk of his head and ripped out a chunk of flesh. It took only seconds before the wolf drowned in his own blood. The female had awoken just in time to see the life fade from her loves eyes. Cronos stood over her and grabbed her by the back of the neck and climbed on top of her and mated with her. She tried to fight but she wasn't a strong wolf. And every time she tried to get away he would bite down harder and cause her pain. The next few months before the pups where born he made sure to feed her only enough to keep her and the pups alive. He didn't want her running away, and if she tried he would track her down and attack her. At one point he had grabbed her by the leg and dragged her back. During the way back her shoulder had come out of place causing her great pain. And instead of getting it fixed he left her like that until the pups where born so she couldn't run away again.
{At Birth}
Finally the time came for the puppies to be born Cronos forced a healer to come to the den. When she saw the shape of the mother she feared for the mother and the pups. The first thing she did was to put Rhea's shoulder back in place. For there was still a while before the pups where to come. After fixing Rhea's shoulder she asked Cronos to go and get some moss soaked in water. He was weary and didn't want to leave but in the end decided to do it. As soon as he left the healer tried to get Rhea to her fate. She wanted to get her out of there. And the closest spring was fifteen minutes from the den so they had a half hour hopefully. It took almost ten minutes for her to get Rhea up and out of the den. The old healer let her lean on her as they walked. Rhea was scared she knew what Cronos would do if they found them. They made it another half hour before Rhea wasn't able to go any further for the puppies where coming. She tried not to cry out in pain but it was hard not to. The healer led her to a hollow tree she knew of nearby, they crawled inside and with in seconds of lying down the first pup was born.
During the whole time she feared Cronos would find them. And though the healer told her over and over that he wouldn't she had this dread in the pit of her stomach. And by the time her second pup she heard the angry howl of Cronos fill the air. He was following their tracks. She whimpered softly and curled her two small pups up around her. The healer began to fear not only for Rhea and the pups but for herself as well. But she forced herself to continue her work. Placing a paw on the mother's stomach she felt for the puppies, she found there where at least three or four more pups to come. Cronos was getting closer she could smell him now. He must be right outside the tree. At the same time that she heard Cronos digging at the hole that led into the tree the third pup was born. The first three where all males. As she pushed the pup to Rheas stomach Cronos's head appeared. His eyes where filled with rage and he bared his teeth at the healer.
How dare they do this to him? Hadn't he taught that bitch before that if she tried to leave him she would pay for it? And this healer, where did that bitch get the nerve to try and steal his mate and pups. She would pay with her life. Those where his thoughts as he dug his way into the tree den. The hole into it was small and he was a large wolf. When he saw Rhea and the healer he almost lunged at the healer and killed her right than and there. But when he saw the three puppies he calmed down. He knew he had to wait until all the puppies where born and back in their den. "After the pups are born you will help me get Rhea and the pups back to the den if you wish to leave."
The healer fearing for her life nodded and quickly agreed to his demand. She hated leaving Rhea and the new born pups but she had to think of her own life as well. And she wasn't ready to give it up for anyone. She tried to save them and failed. She tried to concentrate on the mother as the next pup came but it was hard to think with Cronos staring at her with teeth bared. By the time the moon was high in the sky the final pup was born. Six pups in all. Cronos smiled at the pups and decided on their names. From first born to last born they went, Hades, Zeus, Poseidon, Demeter, Hestia and Hera.
Once all the pups where born Cronos had the healer put two on his back and he carried a third in his mouth. The one he carried ever so gently in his mouth was his first born son. The mother held her first born daughter while the healer carried one pup on her back and one in her mouth. They slowly made their way back to his den. As soon as they reached the den he set Hades down than slowly grabbed and set his other sons down off from his back. He than took his two daughters from the healer. Rhea laid down and nudged each of her pups to her belly so they could nurse while Cronos and the healer left the den.
The healer was sure she was safe to leave. But as soon as they where out of site of the pups Cronos attacked the healer. He didn't want a quick death for her though. He wanted a slow and very painful death for her. Crono's grabbed her back left leg and bit down until he heard the bone crack and the healer cried out in pain. She tried to get free and escape as soon as he let go of her leg. But she only got a few steps away when he pounced on her back and pinned her to the ground before grabbing her other back leg and breaking that one as well. Now there was no way she could get away. But she tried to, she tried to drag herself away until Cronos circled around her and broke her two front legs as well. The healer was in so much pain that she blacked out. But Cronos wasn't done with her yet. He dragged her body away from the den and waited for her to wake up. He had made sure he could see the den from where he was encase Rhea tried to escape again. But he knew she wouldn't she would be to weak and tired to do anything after giving birth to six pups. It was almost morning before the healer awoke. Once awake he began torturing her once more. He grabbed the bitch's ears one at a time and tore them off. He than grabbed her tail and bit it clean off. By now she was covered in blood but not enough to kill her. No he made sure of that he didn't want her to die that easily. Cronos was having fun torturing the female and he laughed every time she cried out in pain. Over the next week he slowly tortured her little by little. By the time he finally killed her you couldn't even recognize her as a wolf really any more. He had ripped her bottom jaw off and broken her back. Finally she died from a combination of pain and loss of blood.
{The Early Months}
It was obvious to Rhea the minute she saw Cronos with Hades that he was his favourite. He spent every minute with him as soon as his eyes and ears opened. Playing with him and teaching him how to kill. Cronos would bring live chipmunks or mice to the den and let Hades play with them and try to kill it, always making sure they didn't get away. Cronos wanted his first born to be a strong wolf but his mom wanted him to be a caring wolf. So whenever Cronos was away hunting she would teach her pups that kindness was important. And she would always tell her sons that they should always respect females. That they deserved to be treated with respect. Hades was confused as a young pup not sure who to listen to his father or his mother. His father told him he needed to be strong and cruel to get what you wanted in the world. While his mom said you had to be kind and show respect to others to get what you wanted.
By the time he was five months old his father began training him in earnest. He had been learning how to kill as soon as he had opened his eyes and could walk. Now he was being taught how to hunt and how to fight, mostly fighting. His father would have him battle with his litter mates. And not just his brothers but his sisters as well. He was harder on his sisters than he was on him and his brothers. He considered females the weaker sex and well just plain week. Zeus and Poseidon both had different strengths. Zeus was fast, while Poseidon was durable, he could take more damage and keep on going. Demeter was best at tracking really she could smell prey a mile away. She was really fast as well. Hestia wasn't really strong, fast or durable he was the weakest of the pups and Cronos was the hardest on her. He would push her and drive her to her breaking point. Hestia was their mothers favourite, she looked more like their mother than their father and her personality matched hers as well. She was kind and caring and she didn't want to fight. Cronos hated her for her weakness. By the time they where six months old Cronos decided she was useless and killed her in front of them during a battle practice. He used her as a warning that if they where weak than they would die as well.
Rhea was horrified at seeing her daughters limp body. She became very depressed and refused to eat. Cronos grew angry and tried to force her to eat but no matter what he did he couldn't get her to eat and she was slowly growing thinner and thinner until she was just skin and bones. Finally Cronos had, had enough and threatened to kill another pup if she didn't start eating. This made her begin eating, but she was never the same after Hestia died. She was broken, Cronos had finally managed to break her. Hades was furious with his father and had grown to hate him. But he was to week, he wasn't strong enough to beat his father. So he pretended that he believed that his father did the right thing and would often tell his mother and siblings that they should be happy such a weakling would no longer bring them done. Cronos became so proud of Hates. He truly believed he had raised Hades to be just like him. He had no idea it was just a ruse.
{The Death Of Rhea}
By the time Hades and his siblings where a year old their mother had become very sick and though she had gained wait back over the last few months she had lost it all again. She could barely stand and slept most of the time. Hades wished he could take care of her but he had to continue this ruse. His sisters Demeter and Hera cared for their mother doing whatever they could to help her. She was dying and there was nothing they could do. One day when Cronos was away Hades entered the den and told his siblings to leave. When they first refused he bared his fangs and growled angrily at them which quickly made his sisters flee. He hated treating them like that but it was only for a little bit longer. He was almost as strong as his father and he was going to try and convince his brothers to help him take his father down. With his strength, Zeus's speed and Poseidon's durability they could do it if they worked together.
Hades walked up to his mother and rubbed his muzzle against hers before licking her gently. When she opened her eyes she became frightened, "please Cronos no," she croaked. Hades wasn't surprised she had mistaken him for Cronos he looked almost exactly like his father. "No it's me mom Hades, don't worry I won't hurt you. I'm going to find a way to kill Cronos to make him pay for all the pain he's caused you and everyone else. I'm sorry I've acted like Cronos for the past several months. I've had to so I could trick him and earn his trust. I promise I will always show women respect and I will never harm a pup. All females and pups will be safe and never have to fear anything as long as I'm around."
Tears slid from his mother's eyes and a small smile crossed her face, "I....love....you," she croaked softly. Her voice was just a whisper but Hades heard her. Those where the last words she ever said, as he stood there she took her last breath than left this world. He whimpered softly and buried his nose in his mothers fur for a minute before turning and leaving the den. He took off in the opposite direction of his father looking for something to kill and take all his anger and sadness out on. He ran and ran until he found a large white tail buck. He didn't stop running he just charged at it and let out a cry of rage as he did so. The deer was so surprised by this attack he stood frozen for a moment to long. By the time it turned to run Hades was nearly on top of it. With a burst of energy he grabbed one of the bucks back legs and bit down as hard as he could causing the buck to trip. The two rolled around and one of it's hooves cut along his shoulder but he refused to cry out from the pain. As soon as they stopped moving he got up and launched himself at the dears throat and sank his fangs into it and shook his head as hard as he could shredding the throat to pieces. The buck gave a few kicks and let out a week cry, but in the end it was still.
Hades ate his full of the dear making sure to save the heart for his dad for it was his favourite part. He was tempted to fill it with poisonous berry's but that was to good of a death for his father. He began dragging the carcass back to their den, it was a long journey back for the deer was very heavy. But by the time he did get back he had spent all of his anger and was to tired. As soon as Cronos saw the deer he smiled proud of his first born. It was the first time he had taken a buck down on his own. Cronos planned on starting a pack once he found the right territory and Hades would be his heir.
{The Death Of Cronos}
It was two months after Rheas death that Hades was finally able to find a chance to speak with his brothers. He knew they hated their father, they had both been close with Hestia and hated Cronos for killing her. They also blamed Cronos for their mothers death. At first they refused to speak with Hades for they believed he was just like their father. But when he told them he wanted their help killing Cronos they where surprised but quickly said they would help. The three decided that, that night while Cronos was asleep was when they would attack. They would tell their sisters to sleep outside that night so they wouldn't get dragged into the battle. If they could do a surprise attack on him than they could surely win. After discussing their plans Hades left them so when their father returned he wouldn't suspect anything. Hades never hung with his brothers or sisters. Instead he decided to go hunting for himself. His fathers rules was hunt for yourself and if the others couldn't catch their own prey than they could eat whatever was left over.
When he returned with the limp form of a baby deer dangling from his jaws his father was back and he was munching on what was left of what looked like a rabbit. He walked up to his father and lied next to him and began eating his meal. The two talked like they always did at meals. They discussed what they would be doing the next day. But Hades knew that there would be no next day for Cronos if everything went right that night. And so far everything was going as planed. The sky was clear and Cronos was used to the girls sleeping outside when it was a clear night.
Finally it was tie to head into the den for the night. The girls where already asleep under their favourite tree several wolf lengths from the dens entrance. Hades and Cronos headed into the den fallowed by Zeus and Poseidon who both went to their corner to sleep and Hades and Cronos went to the other side. Hades had trouble falling asleep he wanted to get this done and over with. He was anxious to put his father into the ground. And more than anything he couldn't wait to see Cronos's face when he betrayed him. Zeus and Poseidon thought he just wanted to kill him so he would be the strongest and could be alpha of the pack when it was made. That was partially true yes but it was also for revenge.
Finally it was time the moon was high in the sky and Cronos was in a deep sleep snoring like usual. He gave a flick of his tail and his brother's slowly approached, They had been waiting for the signal. Hades stood up quietly than all at once they attacked. Hades grabbed his fathers back left leg and bit down until he heard a loud crack telling him it was broken. Zeus had jumped onto his back and was biting down on the back of his neck. While Poseidon attacked from the front and snapped at the front of his neck but Cronos woke up and jerked his head to the side so that Poseidon's teeth raked across his muzzle instead. He let out an angry growl, refusing to let them know how much his leg hurt. He gave himself a shake trying to get Zeus off of his back. He looked back to see Hades and became enraged at the betrayal. He ignored the pain from his broken leg and threw himself at Hades. Hades let go of the leg and jumped back and bared his blood stained fangs at his father. "This is for mother and especially for Hestia you discuss me. I can see killing though's who are a threat to us but Hestia was a pup and she was family." He growled angrily trying to distract him as he watched Zeus dive under Cronos and sink his fangs into his stomach and giving a shake of his head real quick before sliding back out. Hades game a growl of rage and leaped onto Cronos and did his best to hold him down. "Finish him now," he howled to his brothers. Poseidon jumped in and grabbed his father by the shoulder blocking his mouth with his body. Cronos sank his fangs into Poseidon's back but all he got was fur. Mean while Zeus slid in and grabbed Cronos by the throat and even when Cronos let Poseidon go and grabbed him by the shoulder he refused the let go. He gave a shake of his head but he wasn't as strong as Hades so it didn't do that much damage but slowly Cronos began growing weaker. Poseidon let go of his shoulder and grabbed Cronos's neck as well while Hades held him down and finally the light faded from Cronos's eyes.
{After The Battle}
As soon as Hades was sure Cronos was dead he got off and looked up to see Demeter and Hera staring with wide eyes at them. It took them a minute before it finally sunk in that they where free. They could go where ever they wanted and do whatever they wanted. Cronos wasn't looming over them and threatening them no more. The five of the gathered together and each one grabbed their father's body and began dragging it away. They dragged the body for two hours before dumbing it and heading back. The next day the five of them decided to leave this place and find a place of their own. A place far away from the place they grew up at.
The siblings traveled for several days until they reached Ligno forest. During that whole time though Poseidon and Zeus started talking whispering among themselves so no one else could hear them. And if there sisters where looking at them or came over to them they quickly became quiet. Especially if Hades came over. They began to mistrust him, after all if he can betray their father and kill him than how did they know that he wouldn't betray them? When they reached Ligno Forest the two of them finally made their choice. They couldn't trust him and if they couldn't trust him than they didn't want him around. The two turned on him and gave him the choice to flee and never return or to die.Demeter couldn't believe it. After helping them get rid of Cronos how could they not trust him. She tried to change their mind but was unable to. In the end she decided to leave with Hades not wanting to be with family who would treat family that way. Hades loved Demeter she was his favourite sister but he didn't know where he was going or if he would ever find a home. He didn't want a life for her like that. He hated doing this but he told her he didn't want her to come with him that she would only slow her down. And since she was faster than even Zeus that really hurt her and made her angry but it did the trick and she stayed with Zeus and Poseidon. With that he turned and left and never looked back for he didn't want Demeter to know how much he was going to miss her.
{The Loner Years}
hades left Ligno Forest and vowed never to return their again. He would start his own pack and make his own family someday. Being a loner wasn't easy, he had to be careful not to trespass on another packs territory. Over the next two and a half years he traveled all over the Island never staying in one place for more than a few nights. Once in a while he would venture into pack territory and steal food before quickly fleeing with his kill. But he only did this if he couldn't find food outside of the territory. Hades had been every where even up in the mountains, but no place felt more like home than the hills he had spent a month in. It was the longest he had ever stayed in any one place since the den he grew up in. Eventually he made a decision that would change the rest of his life. He decided to head back to Aura Hills to try and make a pack there.
Because he was on the Petra Outcrop when he made this decision he had a long journey back to the hills. His feet where soar and all cut up from the rocks but he pushed himself on. He journeyed for several days stopping only to sleep and to eat. Going to bed after the sun had completely sunk and getting up before the sun rises. After almost two weeks of travelling he finally returned to the hills. He explored the place and made his decision that someday he would have a pack here. He found group of rocks with a small over hang and made that his den.
