[Blu] One. Two. Three. Drink.

She'd slowly adjusted to life on three legs. It hadn't been easy and in the beginning the pain had been... nearly unbearable. More than once, she'd turned her skull into Chrnos's shoulder and just whimpered until the agony passed and the nerves resettled. For a long time they weren't sure if she was even going to live, she'd lost so much blood and she was so weak... but Chronos brought her food and he'd even found ways to bring her water, in truth he was probably the only reason she was still alive. The first two weeks passed with agonizing slowness but on the fourteenth day she'd stood and with Chronos's help when she stumbled... she made it down to the river and back up to her den and ever since she'd only ever gotten better.

Blu was lucky in the fact that she was small and the loss of the one hind leg didn't put an enormous strain on her remaining limb. Sure it wasn't the most comfortable to walk on three legs, but she'd slowly learned to move and when she really concentrated, she could even run. The first time she'd caught a hare since her accident, she'd brought it straight to Chronos. She'd been filled with so much pride that it just about burst in her chest. She could still be a wolf... even if she had to do it on three legs.

Today found her just outside the pack lands at Crepido Lake. With the loss of her limb, swimming proved an ample way to exercise without putting a strain on any one part of her... plus she liked to fish and she had a weakness for the catfish that would come up to nibble at her paws when she stood perfectly still. They tasted delicious. She'd been taking a breath, submerged halfway and laying down in the cool waters, when Chronos's voice reached her ears and they twitched forward, head lifting and body twisting so she could see him proper. A grin broke out across her maw and Blu rose, shaking herself of the excess drops of moisture before bursting into her estranged gait and racing towards him.

Blu loved Chronos. A part of her always had. He was a gentle presence in her life that she'd always just adored. She was always close, always lingering quietly close and every chance she got to sleep curled up against him, she took with a quiet excitement. She'd tried being subtle, dropping quiet hints that she wanted him to be more than just her best friend... but then the accident and now... now she didn't feel very worthy of him. She wasn't a complete wolf anymore. She was maimed in a way that could never be reversed. She came to a halt a mere few inches away and dropped her skull, ears swinging back to rest against her skull as she ducked her head and nuzzled the underside of his jaw affectionately. “Chronos.” She murmured against his neck, entirely unable to keep the quiet happiness from trickling into her voice. “I missed you yesterday, did the hunt go alright?” He often led small groups of wolves into the wilds. Chronos just had a knack for tracking and hunting but they rarely stayed out of the pack territory overnight and he'd worried her.
